Alisha, Owner

Alisha is the founder of Longfellows and deeply committed to building community through good food and drink. Alisha's background lies in nonprofit management, food systems, and sustainability. She holds a BA from Hamilton College in Geoscience and Environmental Studies.

Before opening Longfellows, Alisha worked at the center of the sustainable food movement with Chefs Collaborative. Alisha is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and teaches occasionally at Longfellows and Lamplighter. In addition to coffee and yoga, Alisha loves spending time with her 5-month old son Sky.

Andrea, Kitchen Lead

Andrea joined the team in January 2017. Andrea helped launch, and now leads, Longfellows's kitchen program. Andrea is responsible for our daily cafe offerings as well as R&D of new menu items. Most recently, Andrea developed our spring jam – a Rhubarb Meyer Lemon. She is also scheming about spring and summer pop ups. Breakfast Tacos, anyone!?

Andrea is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts. Andrea is also a photographer and graphic designer.

Jordan, General Manager

Jordan has been with Longfellows since before we opened our doors. Working closely with the owners, Jordan helped scale our Cold Brew production and stepped into the role of General Manager in September 2017.

Jordan is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in Nutrition and Food Science. Some of her greatest joys in life include kayaking, hiking, and going to see live music.

Jesse, Co-Owner

Jesse is the co-owner of Longfellows, an MIT PhD candidate (Summer 2018), and a coffee aficionado.

Jesse's area of work at MIT is focused on zero carbon energy sources and so it's only fitting that he helps fuel the neighborhood's caffeine needs while studying what keeps the world moving.

In addition to studying "wicked" problems, Jesse loves to cycle, sail, and spend time with his family.

Chloe, Shift Supervisor

Chloe has been with Longfellows since before day one – she was officially our first hire. Chloe came to us with great experience in espresso and coffee, and took on the role of Coffee and Tea Program Lead in September 2017.

Chloe majored in Art Studies at Williams College. When she's not at Longfellows you can most often find her drawing. In fact, Chloe's artistry is behind many of our pastry and café signs as well as several Lamplighter beer cans.

Sanjeev, Shift Supervisor

Sanjeev joined the Longfellows team in May 2017. This past fall, he took on the role of Shift Supervisor and began leading our Cold Brew Coffee production.

In addition to making delicious cortados, Sanjeev organizes our weekly Running Club on Thursdays at 7:00am. Join him for a spin around the Charles!

When not at Longfellows, Sanjeev tutors students in math and science and is also taking classes at Northeastern.
